William Ekeroth is President of Dallas-based Axxis Sports & Entertainment, a company that aggressively pursues commercial opportunities for its professional clients. Mr. Ekeroth’s firm focuses on managing NFL stars’ merchandising, licensing, endorsement, personal appearance, community outreach, and foundation development endeavors.
William Ekeroth’s work with Axxis Sports & Entertainment also involves the production of high-profile celebrity galas, many of them centered around major sporting events. In 2003, he created the Leather and Laces Super Bowl Party, which has been an annual tradition since. In 2007, Mr. Ekeroth helped launch the Saturday Night Spectacular Premier Super Bowl Event, which has a charity fund-raising component and has been hosted by A-list celebrities such as John Travolta, Jim Carrey, Kevin Costner, Michael Strahan and Jenny McCarthy.
Honoring the Dallas 2011 hosting of Super Bowl XLV, William Ekeroth and the Axxis Sports & Entertainment team produced the Cowboy Gathering at The Frontiers of Flight Museum. This once-in-a-lifetime event was co-hosted by seven Cowboys legends from different eras of the team’s history and included Cirque du Soliel performers, a celebrity poker tournament, and silent and live auctions benefiting wounded troops and the Larry Brown Foundation (Super Bowl XXX MVP). Mr. Ekeroth’s longtime association with the Cowboys franchise has over the years led to special-events marketing for players such as Tony Dorsett, Randy White, Ed “Too Tall” Jones, Michael Irvin, Emmit Smith, Drew Pearson, Deion Sanders, and Tony Hill.
Mr. Ekeroth began his career training in major concert production under one of the four producers of the 1969 Woodstock musical event. Producing concerts along side companies such as Fey, QPP and CPI throughout the late 80s and 90s, William Ekeroth worked with artists such as Metallica, Prince, Duran Duran, Will Smith, Michael Jackson, and Sting.
For the last ten and a half years, Mr. Ekeroth has had a close working partnership with Mark Stevens and Deja 34 in producing all of Shaquille O’Neal’s nationwide events.
